C-Tech lecture day | Sliema, Malta

3rd November 2023 – Sliema | C-Tech lecture day
Lecturers: Dr Anca Vereanu, Dr Christos Tsamis

C-Tech Implant and Marletta Enterprises are glad to invite you to the C-Tech Lecture Day, which will be held on 3rd November 2023 in Valletta, Malta. Information about the location of the event will be available shortly.
• ”DIGITALLY AIDED IMPLANT PLANNING IN DEFICIENT ALVEOLAR RIDGES” (MORNING)
• ”FULL ARCHES REHABILITATION IN COMPLEX CASES” (AFTERNOON)

Digitally aided implant planning in deficient alveolar ridges: from single units to full arch restorations
Digital technology has altered the diagnostic and therapeutic workflows in every aspect of clinical dentistry. Implant prosthodontics has benefited the most through virtual planning, design, and delivery of the outcome thus enhancing the efficiency of all clinical and laboratory steps.

Along these lines, the reverse engineering process has application also in surgical implantology. The prosthodontic plan precisely dictates the implant position and as a result the specific osseous and soft tissue requirements.

Bone and soft tissue deficiencies can be virtually assessed, and their management can be tailored according to the available techniques often with the use of custom-made scaffolds or grafts.

The aim of this presentation is to showcase examples where the whole spectrum of digital workflow was applied during the surgical and restorative steps, including both single sites as well as full arch prostheses.

Dr Christos Tsamis
This morning lecture will be held by Dr. Christos Tsamis, who is course director of the Continuing Dental Education Program in Implantology of New York University College of Dentistry in Greece. With numerous publications in dental journals and presentations in dental congresses in Greece and USA, Dr Tsamis is also copartner and CFO of the Merimna Institute in Athens, Greece – the first Continuing Dental Education Center in the country – and Vice President of the Hellenic Association of Continuing Dental Education.

Full arches rehabilitation in complex cases: from extractions to teeth in a day
Full-arch rehabilitation of edentulous or preedentulous patients is a challenging clinical situation that requires careful planning and execution.

Different treatment options are available, such as removable dentures, implant-retained overdentures, and implant-supported fixed prostheses. Among the latter, the concept of teeth in a day using tilted and axial implants has gained popularity in recent years, as it allows for immediate loading and reduced treatment time.

However, complex cases may present with additional difficulties, such as severe bone resorption, unfavorable anatomy, or high esthetic demands.

This course will present the indications, contraindications, surgical techniques, prosthetic protocols, and outcomes of full-arch implant rehabilitation using all-on-6 concept in complex cases. It will also discuss the relation between the age of the patients and the number of implants required for a successful treatment, as well as the key factors for achieving long-term stability and function.

Dr. Anca Vereanu
This afternoon lecture will be held by Dr. Anca Vereanu, expert in implantology and the owner of one of Europe’s most prestigious dental clinics.

With her 27 years of teaching and practicing implantology, Dr Vereanu is a prestigious lecturer in oral surgery at the University of Bucharest, as well is an opinion leader in her professional field in media and TV.
